Base Camp at Cave Hill Creek
Base Camps are a terrific opportunity
for students to really embrace the outdoors
Base Camp adventures are led by our experienced outdoor staff, giving students the chance to truly immerse themselves in nature. It’s a hands-on opportunity to learn practical campcraft skills, build confidence, strengthen friendships, and experience the fun and freedom of outdoor living.
Who is a Base camp for?
Base Camps are ideal for students ready to extend their outdoor learning beyond a traditional Residential Camp. These programs offer the excitement of setting up a real campsite like pitching tents in the bush, cooking meals outdoors, exploring Mount Buangor National Park, and embracing life immersed in nature. It’s the perfect next step for growing independence, resilience, and teamwork.

Spend the night under the stars
There’s a special kind of magic that comes with camping out, something you simply can’t experience from a cabin or glamping tent.
At Base Camp, students sleep in tents beneath a sky full of stars, surrounded by the quiet hum of the forest. It’s an experience that encourages reflection, resilience, and a deeper connection with the outdoors. Evenings unfold around the campfire with shared stories, warm friendships, and a sense of accomplishment that grows from living simply, working together, and embracing nature. It’s a memorable, grounding adventure that stays with students long after they return home.
