SPRING IS WILDFLOWER SEASON IN WESTERN VIC
The Grampians are famous for its spring wildflowers and this year things are looking bright.
Right now the Grampians Boronia (Boronia microphylla) is in full bloom in the Northern Grampians – a delicate native spring wildflower (and on the Silverband Lodge logo), adding bursts of pink to the bushland. Thanks to Fee in our admin team for this recent image!
Equally beautiful displays of Running Postman, Hardenburgia, Milkworts and Murnong (yam daisy) can be found in Mt Cole. And we are excited to report the recovery of the endemic Mt Cole Grevillea (you might recognise it from Cave Hill Creek’s logo) is coming along nicely. It typically flowers Oct-Dec. There are some fantastic displays right now just off Sandersons Track not far from Cave Hill Creek.

Summer Camp OUT
“Summer Camp Out” an adventure program for 14-15 year old campers is also back.
Mon 12 – Fri 16 Jan 2026 (4 nights – $1,449).
The program is a more adventurous version of Summer Camp, including hiking, camping, and outdoor fun designed to better appeal to and challenge teens. A perfect transition between Summer Camp and becoming a Summer Camp counsellor, or to meet the needs of a Duke of Edinburgh adventurous journey.
